• Defense budgets are pulling hard on talent. Missile defense, munitions, and shipbuilding programs are all scaling up at once. Companies want systems engineers, test technicians, and program managers who can move fast and pass a background check. Clearances still open doors, so start that paperwork early.

• Space keeps growing past the hype. Launch cadence is up, and satellite constellations need people to build and fly them. The work spans propulsion, avionics, guidance, and ground operations. Startups pay in equity and long hours. Established players pay in stability. Pick your trade-off.
